NEW YORK, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Blockbuster may jump into the teeming download market based on remarks chief executive John Antioco made in New York.
Speaking at a media summit Tuesday, Blockbuster chief executive John Antioco said his company "can't afford not to be" in the market. He added it wouldn't surprise him if the company launches a download service in the next year.
The download market is getting crowded says The Dallas Morning News, with companies like Wal-Mart and Netflix Inc. launching services soon.
According to the paper Blockbuster spokesman Randy Hargrove refused to discuss any further plans.
