'Beauty and the Geek' premiere in January

BURBANK, Calif., Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg will unveil a third season of encounters between U.S. beauties and geeks Jan. 3 with a two-hour premiere on the CW Network.

Eight consecutive episodes will air each Wednesday when geeks and beauties connect to compete for a $250,000 grand prize. Challenges include the guys sketching a nude model and the women acting as museum tour guides, Zap2it reports.

Dawn Ostroff, president of entertainment for the Burbank-based network, calls "Beauty and the Geek" a "compelling example" of society's attitudes toward appearance and intelligence. Each episode pairs a group of awkward, brainy guys with beautiful, academically challenged women.
