NEW YORK, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Jordana Spiro says she couldn't be happier with her job starring in TBS's new single-camera, scripted comedy, "My Boys."
In the show, premiering Tuesday, Spiro plays P.J., a bright, pretty Chicago sports reporter who spends most of her time with her older brother (Jim Gaffigan) and a group of male friends.
"I was so thrilled (to get this job,)" Spiro recently told UPI. "It's the kind of show I always wanted to be a part of, so this is so, so cool. ... I always wanted to do a half-hour, single-camera show and then on top of that the main two things were that I just fell in love with the character and I thought the writing was just very smart and funny."
Although the New York native has appeared in the films, "Must Love Dogs" and "Alone with Her," P.J. marks her highest-profile role to date.
