Tougher sledding ahead for Cohen?

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Universal Pictures is said to be going ahead with Sacha Baron Cohen's next film project despite the U.S. lawsuits surrounding his current hit, "Borat."

Film industry analysts told The Los Angeles Times Monday while Universal will bankroll the "mockumentary," Cohen will likely have a tougher time than he did as "Borat" getting unsuspecting people to go along with the antics of his new character, Bruno, the Austrian fashion expert.

In addition, the Times said, Universal might not be immune from lawsuits similar to the ones filed against Fox by people who claim they were duped by Cohen into looking foolish for "Borat."

"Bruno," based on one of Cohen's more-flambouyant "Ali G Show" characters, is set for release in 2008. Cohen will have complete creative control over the project, the Times said.
