ATLANTA, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Outkast's Big Boi agreed to appear in three episodes of the CW Networks "Girlfriends."

The rapper plays himself on the show and discovers Lynn, played by Persia White, as a talented musician he decides to hire to write music, SOHH.com reported.

He is also set to perform a song written by White's character.

The first of the episodes airs Monday.

Big Boi is also currently shooting the independent film "Who's Your Caddy?" in which he plays a rap mogul from Atlanta who tries to join a conservative country club but runs into opposition from the board president.
