FLORENCE, S.C., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Actress Liv Tyler has been enjoying life in South Carolina since she arrived for the filming of "The Strangers."
The South Carolina Morning News reported that Tyler's role in the suspense thriller is a new one for her. "The Strangers" follows a couple who become victims of a home invasion orchestrated by three masked strangers.
Tyler said one challenge for her was having to scream, the newspaper said.
"I was really nervous about having to scream," she said with a laugh. "But, when the time came, I just opened my mouth and this huge roar came out ..."
The film also stars Scott Speedman, who is known for his part on the television series "Felicity."
The Morning News reported that Tyler, coming from bustling Manhattan, is enjoying the slower pace of Florence, S.C., since arriving Oct. 10.
"What's really great about this place is you can smoke almost anywhere," laughed Tyler, who admits to a cigarette habit.
