LONDON, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Former model Heather Mills says she looks too stern in a recent oil painting of her sitting on the steps of her home.
The Daily Mail reported Mills agreed to have the work done in a fundraising effort for one of her landmine charities.
Mills reportedly complained to painter Sarah Macdonald: "I just don't think I look very kind. As the press portray me as hard and cold, I wasn't keen on the sternness of it."
Macdonald said she spent 450 hours at the easel working on the painting, the longest she had ever spent on a work.
"As it was for charity I wanted to make Heather look determined and ready to spring into action," Macdonald said, "as though she was ready to take on the world."
The painting, however, will be sold for the good of the Adopt-A-Landmine charity organization, the Mail said.
