INDIO, Calif., Nov. 21 (UPI) -- The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival will become a three-day event this spring, taking place at Empire Polo Field in Indio, Calif.

Billboard.com reported that the event is planning four performance stages, including a "storytelling" area that will feature appearances by Garrison Keillor and Texas poet laureate Red Steagall.

The 2007 festival will feature an array of country music artists including Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, Ricky Skaggs and Sparrow Quarter featuring Bela Fleck, the report said.

Billboard.com reported that on the weekend following the festival, Coachella promoters Goldenvoice will hold another country music festival at the same venue featuring Willie Nelson and George Strait, among others.
