LOS ANGELES, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Singer Barbra Streisand drew a standing ovation from the crowd at the sold-out Staples Center in Los Angeles on the last night of her tour.
The show ended Streisand's first tour since 1994; the crowd reacted accordingly after a reportedly stirring performance of "People" and "My Man," The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday.
The singer also drew applause from fellow celebrities Tom Hanks, Kurt Russell, Goldie Hawn, Ben Stiller, Jeff Bridges and Shirley MacLaine.
Streisand also introduced the soon-to-be Speaker of the House U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., during a skit poking fun at U.S. President George Bush. The skit drew laughter at this particular venue but upset some audience members at previous shows, the report noted.
Before the concert, fans of the singer lined up outside the Staples Center, one man sported a black leather jacket with a portrait of Streisand on its back while others clutched roses to present to Streisand during the concert, the Times said.
