NEW YORK, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- In recognition of his puppet Bob's 29th birthday, ventriloquist Jay Johnson is set to offer 220 $2 tickets to his popular Broadway production.
The special birthday ticket sale is scheduled to take place Tuesday at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre, where the former "Soap" star performs "Jay Johnson: The Two and Only!," the New York Post said. The inexpensive tickets will be accompanied by celebratory festivities as well.
Included in the birthday celebration will be a series of raffles for those waiting in line, in which each individual will have a chance to win prizes such as a dinner for two or one of Bob's trademark tutus, the Post said.
The celebration marks the birth of Johnson's outspoken alter ego on the popular 1970s TV comedy "Soap," and honors the duo's unique partnership ever since, the newspaper.
