LONDON, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- All European dates of the show "Celtic Tiger" have been canceled by lead dancer Michael Flatley due to illness.
The 49-year-old is being treated for the illness in London, and publicist Geraldine Roche said his condition is not life threatening, the BBC reported.
Flatley reportedly contracted a virus and was checked into The London Clinic two weeks ago. He is expected to make a full recovery.
Father Aidan Troy, a close friend of Flatley, said he spoke to the star when he was admitted to hospital.
"Genuinely I'm shocked. Without being unkind, he's not 18. I thought initially it may be exhaustion or stress," said Troy.
He added that Flatley said he was in good spirits and was confident about his health.
Flatley was also married last month to fellow dancer Niamh O'Brien, 32, in Ireland.
