'Chicago 10' to launch Sundance Festival

NEW YORK, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Director Brett Morgen's documentary, "Chicago 10," will be the opening night feature when the Sundance Film Festival begins early next year in Utah.

The documentary -- produced by Morgen and publisher Graydon Carter -- uses both animation and live footage to cover the chaos that surrounded the 1968 Democratic National Convention and the anti-Vietnam War protests that accompanied it.

Morgen directed "The Kid Stays in the Picture," the 2002 documentary about Hollywood producer Robert Evans.
