VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Actress Denise Richards allegedly tossed a laptop on the Canadian set of her new movie "Blonde and Blonder," reportedly hitting an 80-year-old on the arm.

Canadian Mounties were summoned to the set at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, British Columbia, a suburb of Vancouver, after Richards, upset by the presence of two unauthorized photographers, allegedly took matters into her own hands, TMZ.com reported.

The actress reportedly approached the photographers and launched their laptop computers off the balcony of the hotel, Cpl. Peter Thiessen, a media relations officer for the Richmond Royal Canadian Mounted Police, told TMZ.com.

He said a computer "struck an 80-year-old women in a wheelchair. It struck her in the arm. She was not interested in pursuing criminal charges and suffered only minor injuries."

The movie production company reportedly agreed to pay for the damages to the photographers' computers, said Thiessen.

Howard Blank, a representative of the "Blonde and Blonder" production, told TMZ.com, "No one was seriously injured in any way." He said the events were "getting blown way out of proportion."
