Katt Williams arrested with stolen weapon

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Actor/comedian Katt Williams was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport for allegedly carrying a concealed weapon later deemed to be stolen.

Officers at an airport security checkpoint Monday afternoon found the weapon, described as a "cheap Saturday night special" in Williams' carry-on bag, TMZ.com reported.

Three more weapons were then found in baggage checked in by the co-star of MTV's popular series, "Wild 'N Out," police said.

Williams -- whose DVD of his HBO comedy special, "Pimp Chronicles Pt. 1" was released Tuesday -- was being held in a Los Angeles lockup without bond on a warrant from Kalamazoo, Mich., the Web site said. It was not known what Williams was wanted for in the southwest Michigan city.

It was not clear Tuesday whether Williams would be able to honor his commitment to appear as host the BET Hip-Hop Awards on Sunday.
