LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Most of the cast of U.S. soap opera "Beverly Hills, 90210" walked the red carpet for the first-season DVD party for the show and its spin-off, "Melrose Place."
But the party almost didn't happen, cast members had debated skipping the launch since they won't see a dime from the sale of the DVDs, USA Today reported Monday.
"I called up the guys and we all got together for lunch to talk about this whole DVD party," said Ian Ziering. "The product of '9-0' is very powerful all over the world, and we wanted to make sure that everybody was recognized fairly."
Ziering, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green and Gabrielle Carteris all showed up for the party.
It was Garth's first night out since giving birth to her third child, Fiona Eve, with husband Peter Facinelli.
"I wanted to support the show that gave me all I have this day," Garth said. Adding, "I didn't want to be the one who didn't come."
