LOS ANGELES, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Rob Lowe, former star of "The West Wing," is coming back to TV in the ABC drama "Brothers & Sisters," Zap2it.com reports.
Lowe has signed on for a recurring role on the first-year drama and is currently slated to appear on six upcoming episodes.
In his new role, Lowe reportedly play a Republican senator who is running for re-election. He will also become a love interest for Kitty Walker, played by Calista Flockhart.
"He brings a maturity to the role on a show that's about people who are no longer kids," Jon Robin Baitz, series creator told Variety.
Lowe's other TV credits include "The Lyon's Den" on NBC and "Dr. Vegas" on CBS, Zap2it reported.
