GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Nov. 3 (UPI) -- A new recitation of the Bible on tape, featuring some of today's best-known celebrities, is set to hit stores in about one year.

"Inspired By ... The Bible Experience" is produced by Zondervan, a Christian communications company, and Inspired By Media Group.

The new rendition of the Bible -- featuring Samuel L. Jackson as God, Blair Underwood as Jesus and Angela Bassett as Esther -- is said to be a very ambitious audio dramatization of the Bible. Renowned clergy members and Christian leaders are also featured in "Inspired By ... The Bible Experience."

"While audio Bibles have been around for decades, none have truly

captured the enthusiasm or spirit of the ancient text," said Paul Caminiti, vice president and publisher of Bibles for Zondervan.
