The film version of the popular book, that begins filming in December in Los Angeles, has signed Kathy Baker, Marc Blucas and Lynn Redgrave to its cast to play members of a book club focused around Jane Austen's works, said Daily Variety.

Already signed onto the Robin Swicord production are actors Amy Brenneman, Hugh Dancy, Jimmy Smits, Maria Bello, Emily Blunt and Kevin Zegers.

The paper said that Sony Pictures Classics is set to distribute the film with John Calley, Julie Lynn and Diana Napper all signed on to provide production duties to the project.
