Hermann of 'SVU' joins Broadway cast

NEW YORK, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Peter Hermann, lawyer Trevor Langan on NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," is set to star in a New York run of Eric Bogosian's "Talk Radio."

The 39-year-old actor, who recently appeared in the Sept. 11 film "United 93," has joined director Robert Falls' production of the drama and will star alongside Broadway veteran Liev Schreiber when the play officially opens Feb. 25 at the Longacre Theatre, said Playbill.com.

The drama, which was adapted for the big screen in 1988 by acclaimed director Oliver Stone, follows talk-show host Barry Champlain, whose on-air viciousness has him poised to be syndicated nationally.

While Schreiber will take on the role of Champlain for the production, Hermann can be seen breathing life into the role of radio producer Dan Woodruff.

Playbill.com said the production won't be Hermann's first foray into the world of Broadway -- the actor previously appeared in a 2001 version of "Judgment at Nuremberg."
