LOS ANGELES, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Writer/director Robin Swicord's "The Jane Austen Book Club" has seen a fair amount of cast addition, including two well-known U.S. television stars.
The new additions set to appear in the adaptation of the Karen Joy Fowler novel are, "Lost" co-star Maggie Grace, Maria Bello, Emily Blunt, Hugh Dancy, Kevin Zegers and Emmy winners Amy Brenneman of "Judging Amy" and "The West Wing" co-star Jimmy Smits, the Hollywood Reporter said Monday.
The film revolves around a group of women and one man who get together to read Jane Austen novels and talk about their love lives.
Sony Pictures Classics is expected to distribute the film.
"The Jane Austen Book Club" will be Swicord's feature directing debut. His writing credits include adaptations of "Practical Magic," "Little Women" and "Memoirs of a Geisha."
