Nanny fights back in Sara Evans' divorce

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Despite a truce in the very public divorce of country singer Sara Evans and Craig Schleske, the couple's former nanny is reportedly still awaiting an apology.

Evans claimed in legal papers that the nanny -- and former friend -- Alison Clinton had an affair with Schleske, TMZ.com reported. Alison's friends have started a Web site intended to clear Clinton's name and to get Evans to apologize.

TMZ said Clinton passed a lie detector test last week in which she was asked questions as to whether or not she had an affair with Schleske.

Clinton, according to her Web site, was particularly shocked because "Sara had even asked Alison to be a back-up singer and dancer on her upcoming tour just weeks before."

TMZ said that aside from being the couple's nanny, Clinton also served as Evans' personal assistant and was Evans' matron of honor at her 2006 wedding to Chris Lee, which took place after her divorce from Schleske was finalized.
