LILONGWE, Malawi, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Madonna's adoption of a 13-month-old boy from Malawi will be decided by a hearing in Malawi that has been rescheduled for Nov. 13.

"The hearing has been adjourned ... for the judge to hear other parties involved," said Madonna's lawyer in Malawi Alan Chinula.

The Human Rights Consultative Committee opposing Madonna's adoption of David Banda has asked Judge Nyirenda to review the adoption process and make sure no laws were broken or stretched for the singer, People Magazine reported Friday.

Yohane Banda, the Malawian father of David Banda, was also in the courtroom in Lilongwe on Friday, using his presence as a protest against those trying to block the adoption.
