Manson set to open LA art gallery

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Rocker Marilyn Manson is diversifying his career further, opening a Los Angeles art gallery, perhaps fittingly, on Halloween night.

The shocking singer plans to open the California locale -- named The Celebritarian Corp. Gallery of Fine Art -- Oct. 31, and reveal an exhibit of his own artwork, Manson's label, Interscope Records, said in a press release.

The occasional director and visual artist, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, will follow the gallery's opening with an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," during which he will perform his new record "This Is Halloween."

"It will be the vampire national anthem," the rocker recently claimed of the song featured on "The Nightmare Before Christmas" 2-disc soundtrack.

The artist is said to be at work on a new album that would follow up 2004's compilation album, "Lest We Forget."
