Britney's baby story needs a rewrite

Oct. 25, 2006 at 10:22 PM   |   Comments

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Britney Spears and Kevin Federline apparently pulled a fast one on the Hollywood tabloids by giving their baby a name different than the one reported.

Sources had tipped the celebrity stalking press that the youngster born last month would be named Sutton Pierce. However, E! News reported Wednesday that the birth certificate filed with Los Angeles County listed the name as Jayden James Federline.

E! said there have been other mixed signals in the month since baby Jayden was born. Federline refused to answer questions during a radio interview about the child's name or sex, and Britney was captured by the paparazzi buying pink baby clothes at a Malibu boutique.

Jayden is a Hebrew word that ranks 88th on the Social Security Administration's list of most popular baby names, E! said. Star couples including Will and Jada Pinkett Smith and Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi have all recently welcomed Jaydens into the world.
