NEW YORK, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Dolly Parton's reported love of performing is set to take the U.S. country singer on a European tour for the first time in about 30 years.

The 60-year-old country icon's European tour, her first since the '70s, will have her debuting at Denmark's Horsens Ny Teater on March 7; her tour will wind through several European cities before finishing on April 2 in Dublin, Ireland, said Billboard.com.

European countries also included on the monthlong musical tour are England, Scotland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Finland and Norway.

Parton, who is currently on a U.S. tour, recently posted on Billboard.com the reasons she loves performing on tours.

"I have loved performing since I was big enough to wrestle my little brothers and sisters into sitting long enough for me to sing them my latest musical masterpiece," she wrote on the Web site. "I just hope ya'll will come out and see this little girl from the hills of Tennessee walk out there on that big ole stage and make her dreams come true."
