MSNBC will devote Oct. 24 to Senate races

WASHINGTON, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- MSNBC will air "Decision 2006: Battleground America -- The Homestretch" on Oct. 24 to continue its fall coverage of the 2006 U.S. Senate election.

The cable network will kick off the day of politics with "NBC News" Chief White House correspondent David Gregory live from Washington, with other anchors throughout the day.

"Decision 2006: Battleground America -- The Homestretch" will air all day with special editions of "Hardball," "Tucker," "Countdown," and "Scarborough Country."

The network will have anchors in the states where the most critical races are being held, including Virginia, Connecticut, Tennessee, Ohio, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, California, Florida, Texas and Illinois.

MSNBC will examine in-depth the races that will decide who controls Congress for the final two years of the Bush administration.

There will also be interviews throughout the day including Democratic and Republican senate candidates, as well as many others in news or politics related fields.
