'View' co-hosts defend S.E. Cupp over Hustler photo

NEW YORK, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Actress and "Ugly Betty" executive producer, Salma Hayek, is writing herself a part on the new ABC series.
Hayek will play Sophia Reyes, who was described as "a newcomer to the Mode scene (who will) leave a lasting impression on Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius) and Betty Suarez (America Ferrera)."
Hayek started out on Telenovelas, the Spanish soap opera's that "Betty" is likened to.
The actress hasn't held a regular role on prime time television since 1993 when she had a month-long stint on "The Sinbad Show."
