NEW YORK, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Comedian Lewis Black, noted for his outlandish political cynicism on TV, is featured in a new U.S. film.
The 58-year-old stand-up comedian is offering movie goers a taste of his outrageous sense of humor in the new film "Man of the Year," but the New York Daily News reported that "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" regular still intends to offer his take on politics as well.
"I flip on CNN in the morning and go (crazy) for an hour," said Black, who rants on the Comedy Central series in a segment entitled "Back In Black." "It is a luxury -- no matter what happens during the day, I'm then able to go onstage and just go nuts."
When the Daily News asked Black about his role in "Man of the Year," which was released last Friday, the Yale School of Drama graduate answered in his typical cynical way.
"They finally found me, I guess," he told the paper. "On a couple of movies, (my agent) would say, 'They're interested in you, but they're also talking to Eugene Levy.' Hey, I'd choose Eugene Levy. I'd even choose Eugene to play me!"
