CORK, Ireland, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- The self-proclaimed "Lord of the Dance," Michael Flatley, has married fellow dancer Niamh O'Brien at St Patrick's Church in Fermoy, Ireland.
As part of Saturday's wedding ceremony in County Cork, Flatley offered his fiancee and former backup dancer a combined engagement and wedding ring worth more than $1.8 million, The Daily Mirror reported.
The couple first met 15 years ago when the 32-year-old O'Brien joined Flatley's Irish dance troupe and the couple became engaged last August, mere weeks after the 49-year-old Flatley ended his engagement to former hairdresser Lisa Murphy.
Following the celebrity-studded wedding ceremony, the dancers held a 300-person reception at Castlehyde, a nearby castle Flatley renovated, and are planning to honeymoon at another stately location elsewhere in Ireland, the paper said.
