LOS ANGELES, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles neighbors of the "Dr. Phil House," which the popular TV host uses for a show segment, have successfully closed down production at the locale.
The home, which Dr. Phil used to house drug addicts and other troubled individuals for a portion of his NBC talk show, recently closed its doors after several neighbors signed a petition over the intrusive nature of the home, TMZ.com said.
Neighbors reportedly complained that the varied occupants of the home, which is owned by Dr. Phil's Peteski Productions, were noisy and that series executives violated the city's regulations regarding late night taping sessions.
A representative said Dr. Phil had the support of the neighborhood in the endeavor, despite the 76 residents who signed the petition, the Web site said.
