LAS VEGAS, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- The Nevada Ballet Theatre has named pop star and "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul as their 2007 "Woman of the Year," TMZ.com reported.
The award honors prolific stage and screen personalities who are known for their connection to musical theater.
Past Nevada Ballet Theatre "Woman of the Year" recipients include Chita Rivera and Carol Channing.
Abdul, who is also a former Los Angeles Laker Girl, was chosen for her "warm personality and talent," a representative for the Ballet said.
TMZ.com reported that Abdul will be presented with the honor at the Ballet's annual Black and White Ball in January at the Wynn Las Vegas resort.
