Howard Stern set to launch new ad campaign

NEW YORK, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Executives from In Demand Networks said Howard Stern is unleashing a risqué ad campaign to gain U.S. viewers for his Howard TV video on demand channel.

Stern will gear his campaign toward males, using men's magazines and men's Web sites to advertise a trial of his channel, running from Nov. 3-5, the New York Daily News reported Monday.

The trial will have a 1-penny charge to try and limit the number of young viewers who would have to go through several steps and warnings before placing their order.

Howard TV revolves around the daily re-broadcast of Stern's Sirius satellite radio show and includes uncut programming from his regular radio days as well as original, exclusive content.

"It's a smorgasbord of everything a Howard fan could want, the way Howard intended it -- uncensored," In Demand Chief Executive Officer Robert Jacobson told the Daily News.

Viewers can subscribe to Stern's channel for $13.99 a month on Time Warner Cable and $9.99 on Cablevision.
