LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- U.S. cable outlet Showtime, Britain's Channel 4 and producer Ecosse Films are teaming to make "Meadowlands," about a family in the witness protection program.
The weekly series, running for eight-episodes, stars David Morrissey and Lucy Cohu as the parents of the Brogan family, who are moved to a Meadowlands neighborhood, only to find that their new home isn't as safe at they thought, Daily Variety reported Friday.
Production for "Meadowlands" begins in England this month in preparation for the show's release on Showtime next summer.
"This show is sexy, mysterious, provocative and filled with original characters, all of which dovetail with our premium mandate," said Showtime Entertainment President Robert Greenblatt.
