Kelly Ripa and husband have new show on CW

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Television stars Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, an off-stage couple for more than 10 years, are pairing up for a new comedy for the CW network.

The new comedy will be based around real-life experiences from Ripa and Consuelos's time in the world of soap operas, Zap2it.com reported Friday.

Ripa and Consuelos met while working on ABC's "All My Children," Ripa played Hayley Vaughn Santos from 1990-2002, and Consuelos played Mateo Santos Sr. from 1995-2002.

The Hollywood Reporter said the couple has received a script commitment for the untitled comedy.

The soap opera stars, both 36, were married in 1996 and have three children, Michael, 9; Lola, 5; and Joaquin, 3.
