LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- U.S. actors Beau Garrett and Andre Braugher are set to join the cast of the 20th Century Fox and Marvel sequel "Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer."

The Hollywood Reporter learned that Emmy-winning Braugher will play a general responsible for capturing the Silver Surfer. Garrett will play scientist Frankie Raye.

In the film, which is already shooting in Vancouver, Canada, Braugher and Garrett will join the original quartet from the first film, Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis.

Braugher recently earned his second Emmy for FX's "Thief." His recent movie credits include the remake "Poseidon." Garrett has been seen in a stint on "Entourage."
