Lynch, Aronofsky top AFI festival bill

HOLLYWOOD, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- The American Film Institute will feature Darren Aronofksy's "The Fountain" and David Lynch's "Inland Empire" as centerpieces of its Hollywood film fest.

The institute announced Wednesday that the two films would be featured as Centerpiece Galas at the AFI Fest to run the first two weeks in November.

"The Fountain" is called a "time-travel love story" while "Inland Empire" features Laura Dern in the starring role.

The film festival also includes honors in categories including International Feature, International Documentary and American Directions.
