LOS ANGELES, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Heather Locklear has been tapped by cable TV's Lifetime Network to star in a movie based on Nora Roberts' novel, "Angels Fall."

The star of "Melrose Place," "Spin City" and most recently, "LAX," will portray the survivor of a restaurant massacre in the made-for-TV movie adapted from Roberts' New York Times No. 1 bestseller, Lifetime said in a news release Wednesday.

Actor, writer, director and producer Johnathon Schaech, with credits including "That Thing You Do!," "Hush" and "Finding Graceland," will play opposite Locklear, Lifetime said.

"Angels Fall" will be the third of four Roberts novels to be showcased by Lifetime in February.

Claire Forlani, Oliver Hudson and Jacqueline Bissett will star in "Carolina Moon;" John Corbett, Charlotte Ross and Diane Ladd will star in "Montana Sky" and casting is not yet set for "Blue Smoke," which is currently in pre-production.
