Fleetwood Mac guitarist goes solo again

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Lindsey Buckingham has been waiting a decade to release his new solo album "Under the Skin" in the United States.

The Fleetwood Mac guitarist began work on his fourth solo effort, initially titled "Gift of Screws," in the mid-'90s, then was waylaid by the band's reunion album "The Dance" in 1997 and by the 2002 studio set "Say You Will."

"At the end of the day, those are my decisions," Buckingham said. "They were decisions I made for what I thought was the greatest good. I'm just happy to finally be getting to a solo album after all this time, and I'm happy with what I ended up with."

"Under the Skin" is Buckingham's first solo album since "Out of the Cradle" in 1992. It includes covers of the Rolling Stones' "I Am Waiting" and Donovan's "Try For the Sun."
