LAS VEGAS, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- The surviving members of the Beatles are releasing their first new album in 25 years, a compilation of remixes used for the theatrical show "Love."
Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, along with the wives of deceased bandmates John Lennon and George Harrison, agreed to the release on the soundtrack of "Love" on EMI under the Beatles name, the Times of London reported.
George Martin used master tapes to create a new mix with the opening chord of "A Hard Day's Night" merging into "Get Back," then "Within You, Without You" accompanied by the drums from "Tomorrow Never Knows" and lyrics from "Penny Lane" weaving in and out of "Strawberry Fields Forever," the Times said.
The Cirque du Soleil accompanied the mixes when the show played at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.
