Audioslave's Morello arrrested in protest

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello was among protesters arrested during a march in Los Angeles on increasing awareness on immigrant hotel workers' rights.

Police charged Morello, performing as Nightwatchman before the march, with unlawful assembly for refusing to move from the main entry to the Los Angeles International Airport during Thursday's protest, MTV.com said.

Morello was released Friday after paying $5,000 bail, MTV.com said.

Organizers said about 2,000 people participated in Thursday's march, MTV.com said. About 400 were arrested.

Organizers said Morello and others planned on being arrested, telling Los Angeles police their driver's license numbers before the event to speed up processing, MTV.com said.
