NEW YORK, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- NBC plans to air a new U.S. game show, "1 vs. 100," on Oct. 13, then air it Fridays, displacing "Crossing Jordan."
"This entertaining game is a proven winner from Europe that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats as the pressure builds with every question and the financial stakes grow higher," said NBC Entertainment honcho Kevin Reilly. "The introduction of this new show also allows us the luxury of saving such a proven and versatile series as 'Crossing Jordan' for use later in the season."
Bob Saget will host "1 vs. 100," in which one player faces 100 competitors in a trivia challenge, Zap2it.com reported.
The solo player must answer every question correctly, while hoping others get it wrong and are eliminated. A solo winner takes home $1 million. If the solo player misses a question, the remaining players split the pot.
