LOS ANGELES, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Martial arts movie star Jet Li says he is giving up the violent part of action films, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Jet told the newspaper this week that his latest movie, "Jet Li's Fearless," which opens Friday, will send a message to kids that violence isn't the answer.
The 43-year-old Chinese actor's coming films will include action aplenty, but not the martial arts artistry that made him famous.
"Fearless" recounts the life of early Chinese martial arts master Huo Yuanjia and stresses the sportsmanship aspect of martial arts rather than simple bruising violence, the Times said.
