LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- When Snoop Dogg's newest album, "The Blue Carpet Treatment," has its U.S. release it will feature tracks produced by his former cohort, Dr. Dre.
The new album is due out from Doggystyle/Geffen on Nov. 21. The two popular rappers have joined forces for the first time in five years on tracks such as the introspective song "Imagine," Billboard.com reported.
In "Imagine," the two West Coast rappers reminisce and discuss what-ifs, such as what if rapper Tupac Shakur were still alive and what would be a possible existence without hip-hop.
Also offering their production talents to the new album from Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr., were Timbaland, the Neptunes and Rick Rock.
In addition, the Web site said, the follow-up to Broadus' 2004 album "R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece" will also offer donations from guest rappers such as Ice Cube, the Game, Nate Dogg and R. Kelly.
