NEW YORK, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- U.S. daytime talk show host Rachael Ray has confessed she cannot imagine embracing motherhood with her hectic career demanding all her time.

"Entertainment Tonight" reported that the culinary TV icon detailed her love for children on an upcoming "20/20" episode, but added that her busy career has made her consider the implications of having a child.

"I love children," the 38-year-old TV star said. "(But) having a child doesn't make sense to me 'cause my workload is too great,"

"I feel like a bad mom to my dog most days," she added. "I can't imagine the guilt I'd have with little old little-bitties!"

While talking with "20/20" correspondent Deborah Roberts for the episode, which is set to air Friday night, Ray also detailed the impact her mother had in relation to her cooking aptitude, said "Entertainment Tonight."

"I learned everything from my mom," Ray said. "But I think that cooking was just a byproduct of the way we lived. Life happened around food. We were always in the kitchen and talking and sharing."
