'View' co-hosts defend S.E. Cupp over Hustler photo
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Sept. 22 (UPI) -- U.S. pop singer Anastacia has become engaged to her bodyguard, British martial arts expert Wayne Newton, but they haven't set a date, a report says.
Hellomagazine.com reported the "I'm Outta Love" singer, whose full name is Anastacia Lyn Newkirk, accepted Newton's recent proposal after the Kent-born bodyguard served as her protector for years.
The couple first became involved after Newton offered the pop singer emotional support in 2003 as she battled breast cancer, and shortly thereafter the couple moved in together and currently share a mansion in Beverly Hills.
