PASADENA, Calif., Sept. 19 (UPI) -- "Star Wars" creator George Lucas Tuesday was crowned Grand Marshal of the 2007 Tournament of Roses Parade during a ceremony in Pasadena, Calif.
Chewbacca and Wicket flanked Tournament of Roses President Paul L. Holman as he announced Lucas will preside over the 118th Rose Parade on Jan. 1, which will be themed "Our Good Nature."
Lucas will also toss the coin at the Rose Bowl collegiate football game following the parade.
"While my mission has been to entertain others, the Rose Parade has entertained me all of my life," said Lucas, a native of Modesto, Calif. "It is such a joy to be part of this historical parade, especially as it is the same year that marks the 30th anniversary of Star Wars."
