LOS ANGELES, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Talk show host Dr. Laura Schlessinger criticizes U.S. women, calling them "unpaid whores" in her new book, "The Proper Care and Feeding of Marriage."

On page 6 of her book, to be published in January, the therapist called typical American females a bunch of "sluttacious hussies," TMZ.com reported.

Schlessinger admits it is difficult to find a man with an appreciation for "virginity, purity and innocence." Women no longer even expect to get dinner after performing oral sex, she wrote, TMZ.com said.

When she was in her 20's, TMZ.com noted, Schlessinger's boyfriend took photographs of her naked. The author later had a relationship with a married doctor, who left his wife and three children for her.
