LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Actor Oliver Platt has signed on to star in a remake of the film, "Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?," to be set in Las Vegas.

Veteran TV writer David A. Goldman is writing the script for the Warner Bros. Pictures comedy to be called "Who Is Killing the Great Chefs?," Daily Variety reported.

The classic 1978 film starred George Segal and Jacqueline Bisset.

"There's a darkly comic aspect to it," Goldman said of the plot, which had chefs dying based on their signature dishes.

Goldman's TV experience included "Futurama," "Golden Girls," "Wings" and the "Family Guy."
