BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Grammy Award-winning singer Whitney Houston said at a music awards ceremony in Beverly Hills, Calif., she plans to record her first album in three years.

Houston has six songs ready for recording and was "glowing with anticipation," hellomagazine.com reported.

Her producer, Clive Davis, who has managed her career from the start, accompanied her Tuesday night to the Ella Awards. He said the CD would be consistent with her established style.

"Whitney is Whitney and there's nobody like her," Davis said. "It'll be Whitney, not somebody reaching for a current trend, that's for sure."
