LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- The second annual Oscar Wilde Awards ceremony in Los Angeles will honor singer Van Morrison for his contributions to the film industry.
The Oscar Wilde Awards ceremony, originally titled "Oscar Wilde: Honoring Irish Writing in Film," was organized by Trina Fargo and the U.S.-Ireland Alliance last year and is sponsored by the Irish Film Board.

Morrison, who is being honored Feb. 22, has appeared in to close to 50 films, most recently in "The Departed" by Martin Scorsese.
The films will be highlighted during the ceremony at the Los Angeles Wilshire Ebell, Daily Variety said.
